joey b Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 I would like some suggestions on tires. I don't want to spend more than 100 a piece. Also, some opinions on the raised white lettering. What kind do you suggest for traction (I live in MI=rain, snow, cold, hot). What do different tire ratings mean and where do I find them. 225,60,16 is the size I need. Quote
sonyman87 Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 my vote is on Bridgestone potenza 009 they are H rated and grip awesome! even in rain its hard to break them loose tirerack has them priced at $72 each for 225 60r 16 not including shipping i think they also come with a 55,000 mile warrenty i have a set on my front brand new and they kick ass. jeremy Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 the only bridgestones I would buy are the Pole Position's and I don't know if they make the size that you are looking for in that tire... Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 i wouldn't recommend michilens or coopers....michelins suck in snow, and coopers tend to blow out and develop sidwall buldges Quote
Givemebreak Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 I had bought these for my other car that I sold about a year ago...I was happy with them for the short time i owned it... There $66.95 with free shippin' FALKEN - 225/60VR16 ZE512 Quote
92gransport Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I'm going to need to get tires in the fall, same size for my Regal GS. I really don't need a high speed rated tire and I've decided that I am going with the BF Goodrich Traction T/A in the "T" speed rating (also available in H & V rated). It's a directional tread design which is supposed to be quite versatile and good in snow with a 70,000 mile tread warranty and they're inexpensive. The tirerack.com has them for $65 + shipping and then you pay to have them mounted & balanced. I was looking at the special order catalog at Wal-Mart and they have them for something like $69.83 and then you just pay $9.76 per tire for the mounting, balancing, valve stem, road hazard, lifetime balance & rotation. EurosportZ34 Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 My thoughts exactly. Ever since I got my Traction T/A's I've thought they were the shit. They grip really well, especially in the snow and rain. If I remember right they were only like $80 or so per tire for the V-rated ones. Quote
