$250 for window tint?

one of my freinds got a quote on his 96 jetta four door. he said he's getting it tinted by portland glass and there gonna charge him $250 for 5% tint.

 

i was gonna go and get a quote on my car from the same guys....should i expect the same?

Anyways thats not that bad a price imo for a sedan, as long as its top notch quality.

that's kinda high, but a lot of places charge that

 

i can get 7 windows tinted for between $150 - 200, and 5 tinted for $130 or so

 

i would expect similar offers

I got 20% all the way around it was $200 CND which was a great price and top quality. A 4 door would be more, and I dunno maybe the 5% tint costs more :?:

 

Either way as long as its top quality I don't see it being too bad of a price.

I'm not sure whats it's called. But have you all seen the metallica/ mirror like tint. I got a quote for the 4 door cs, it was somehwere around 200-250 range. They said I shouldn't do all windows though with real heavy stuff because cops yadda yadda yadda

mine was about 180 for the back 3 tinted to 5% and the driver and passenger tinted to 35%

platinum and mirror tint is different, platinum is much better, all the brothas in the D either have blacked out tint or mirror, lots of the custom car guys have platinum. I paid 200- winter special for my 7 windows (the back door is split glass) and i wish i would have gotten the fronts in 20%. I have only ever gotten pulled onve once and that was for tint, no ticket tho.

I have 5% on my back, 20% rear doors and 35% fronts. I wish i would ahve gotten all 5% and the fronts 20% later jay

oh and make sure you get a lifetime warranty

Mirror tint looks good on some cars. I think probably lighter colors (white) and on a small car - like a Z24 I saw that was white it actually looked decent for a riced up car.

Got limo tint for the back and i paid more for it.

i'm seriously considering the mirror tint, but plantum tint? never heard of that. and yes, i do plan on lifetime warrenty. w/e works, i'm be getting a quote this week.
