azxr Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I have a 97 Lumina and I am looking at purchasing a factory service manual (3 volumes). I have found some for 98 and 99 model years. Were there any significant differences in the 98 or 99 model years that could cause me problems when servicing my 97 or should I purchase a 97 manual? I'm thinking that the Lumina really didn't change much from 95 through 99. Thanks Quote
Robby1870 Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 You're right it didnt. I cant remember when the LTZ was introduced with L36, but that year 97 or 98?? would have that motor covered in it, and the LQ1 taken out. But, the 3100 would stil be in there and 4T60E was the same the whole time, so you should be good. You're screen name looks like a chip code for 3.1L, maybe even a TGP chip code, I cant remember at the moment.....just had to point that out 8) Quote
