Lookin' good, and I love your car.. but why that silver shit on your door jambs?

Posted

it was on the car when my grandfather owned it, and he doesn't have much time left...and, i think it looks nice

Posted

Did you do the dual exhaust yourself? Are those Momo tips? cuz I love them!

I want to redo my exhaust, dual like that... but maybe just with one muffler where my cat used to be (I had it removed)

Posted

i had the local mr. muffler do the exhaust for just over $200, because at the time i didn't have a welder.

those are pilot hummer tips i got at the auto parts store, if you use them, be sure to weld over the screw holes or exhaust will come out through them and it will look like shit on a cold day, i had to take it back and have the guy weld over them for me

HOLY DUAL EXHAUST!

I had that same car....never imagined it with dual before!

I had the door edge moldings...but in black...

Of course its your car and your choice...but I would get rid of the chrome.

Sun Roof eh?!?! I wish mine had that!

Lookin good tho!

This was mine....I do miss it...was a decent ride!

no problem man

thanks for the compliment on the car! :)

Jeeeesh your car looks tight man! I love that exhaust you got there. The door moldings have to go though. Your car reminds me of an SHO in your sig...with the four doors, dual exhaust, and such. 8) Any noticeable performance increase with the exhaust?

i really don't want to take off the moldings.....

its a little more peppier off the line with the exhaust, a little better throttle response. you can feel some more power, but its not like a shot of nitrous or anything like that. it sounds great!

After riding in the TGP my Cutty feels like it's riding on sponges!!!

Posted

damn.. both those sedans look great!

One question though.. why do the door moldings look different? I swear I've seen that before.. most of the sedans have the ribs go all the way down the side.. but I've seen a few that taper off toward the middle. Which ones got that?

Sweet sedan you have there, nice & shiny. 8)

Well the brake dust really sucks on that car....with the poor quality of the brakes on these Cutties you will constantly be scrubing them and replacing

the front brakes...(One thing I don't miss )

Start with some QuickSilver to wash them off...and basically the only thing

I did to help them was keep waxing them.

Careful as to how many chemicals you use or you will damage the

clearcoat as I did...mostly from years of frustration on keeping them clean

and trying everything on the market!!!

I almost picked up some 2 Door 5 spokes just for that reason..something to think about....

As for the tint....I recommend it on your ride...compliments that maroon.

I REALLY love that color....it looks pissa when all clean and waxed up!

I plan to tint my GP soon...now that its warming up...But unfortunately there is a ZERO tolerance policy in RI. But our sticker go for 2yrs and I just got mine....

P.S. I am sorry to hear about your grandfather.....

my buddy has a newer 4 door cutty with a blown trans it has the 5 spoke wheels, i've asked him if he'd be interested in selling them but he never got back with me...

i kinda just gave up on cleaning the wheels, i've even powerwashed them and that didn't take off the dust

if i do my windows it will only be 35% because the cops here are assholes

i found a place that does good work and doesn't ass rape you so one day i might

what year was yours, givemebreak?

Posted

Looks fuckin sweet! The exhaust rocks too!! And I think 35% tint will do a nice compliment on your car.. Ima do Duals too, Flowmasters.. I think yours are too, right? And if you decide not to buy that friend's 5 spokes, or can even get back to him, how much would he want? LOL.. But it's a sweet cutlass man.. And I like the silver molding.. Distunguishes the car well.. And my Grampa's Buick has them.. Took em off once and it looked like ass.. TO keep the wheels clean, I used some home made dust shields that really helped keep my Grand AM mags on my 6000 clean.. I did it because it took an entire weekend to clen all 5 of them! lol.. I love it though.. Keep it up! :D

Posted

yup they're Flowmasters

that's what i think about the molding too, i think they look nice with the chrome trim around the windows

i really don't think that guy will get back to me, i havent heard anything from him in a while....i'd really like some cragar wheels....

Mine was a 93' just like yours...with charcoal interior..

35% will look just fine!

Oh good luck finding someone to do that back window!

I went to 2 ppl and had it done 3 times and it still bubbled and peeled in time...that window curves in 3 directions...

Posted

i have the dark interior too, it looks nice but it's hard to keep clean

Sweet.. Ima doin flowmasters,IF I EVER GET MY CAR BACK FROM THE SHOP!!! lol.. But yea, Ive pretty much figured out the routage of my dual pipe.. I got it from a 94 GP SE.. It has a resinator, and is from the cat back :D I found where I want to mount it.. Just need to get the mufflers all mapped out, and then I can start the weldin   lol.. Looks good though, and good luck on the wheels! :)

Posted

the detailing place i might have it done has a warranty against streaking, peeling, bubbling, and fading, so if it bubbles, let them re do it

hopefully it will turn out, i'd try to keep it simple

ps, whats up with everyone using resonators? i don't have one, and my exhaust sounds sweet as hell, and isn't too loud or raspy

Posted

I dunno whats up w/ the resinators.. I just got it because my setup was the newest out there  That, and I dont wanna cut it up too much, lol.. So, do you have a way of gettin sound clips of your car? Id like to hear it if possible :D
