Jon89le Posted April 9, 2004 Report Share Posted April 9, 2004 Where is it that the gauge gets its reading from? Is it only from the Oil psi sending unit that plugs right near the filter? Im thinking about just putting an Autometer gauge in. Ive been through two clusters and two oil sender units and the one in there now is brand new. When i start the car its up near 80 but while im driving, sometimes it drops to a little above the red area near 0 and other times it stays around 20. And other times it just twitches. Any help? IF i were to hook up an aftermarket gauge, would i just hook it up to the wire coming outa that sender and run it to the gauge?
