maybe2fast Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Is it worth it, I know that it will make the air cooler (can you feel it) Quote
Robby1870 Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 you will get NO performance from this, it just makes it much easier to take the TB off if you ever have to again Quote
maybe2fast Posted April 9, 2004 Author Report Posted April 9, 2004 I was just wondering if the cooler air could be felt in performance. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I don't see how bypassing it would make any difference. The air would pass through it so quick I don't see how it could be effected noticably. Concentrate on the air coming from the outside of the car. Quote
mfewtrail Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Do it..but not for performance as Robby said, you'll see what he means by making the throttle body easier to remove. The *first* time removing the throttle body is usually a pain since the hose has those metal press clamps on it and they're usually turned backwards from the factory(fuckers!). You can go to autozone or the like and look up hoses for your car, there will be a "bypass" hoses listed, this is the one you want..should be about $2.50. GM charges like $12 from local dealers last time I bothered to look it up. Quote
mdelorie Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I just used a 90 degree elbow, worked great. Quote
mfewtrail Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I just used a 90 degree elbow, worked great. um, yeah, that would be what the bypass hose essentially is Quote
