Shaners
I have a '93 Cutlass Convertible and the center armrest (that is in perfect shape) squeeks like crazy if you have an arm on it. How do you remove it??? I need to fix this annoying problem.... Thnaks
Heza
why not just spray some silicone lubricant on the hinge?
NightStalker
If spraying the hinges don't work, then just unscrew the hinge. If I'm thinking straight, that should be the only thing you gotta do.
Shaners
The hinge isn't what is making the noise. It's the actual storage compartment that the hinge is attached to, that is making the noise. It makes the noise where it rubs against the hard plastic center console. That's why I'd like to remove the whole compartment from the plastic console, and either put some foam or some lube on it to keep it from creaking. joey b
isn't it just held on by the screws in the bottom of the compartment? Maybe from the back of the hinge too.
