Pinstriping sucks dick

I finally decided to remove those 2 gaudy, tacky, silver pinstripes. It sucks.

shortly after i got my cutty it was gone.

 

some ppl wondered why i said cuz it is tacky imho.

 

took sometime but i like it much better without the pinstriping.

it's just another reason for the dealer to charge a "prep" fee...$50 for a $3.99 roll of pinstripe that's a pretty high profit margin!

I debadged the whole damn car for my paint job and i am loving it, those side door mouldings "ding protectors" take away alot from out cutty's

my car lacks the front 2 badges and i have them with me but im almost sure i like them better off than on. theres one on that back and thats plenty

i took off my badges but i am afraid to take off the pin stripe, will paint come off with it? later Jay

I think my Euro looks good with pinstriping. I don't know, maybe because it fits in with the black and red scheme so well.

I took the pinstriping off my truck during the summer. It looks much better without it.

 

A few years ago, I tried taking the pinstriping off my wife's '88 Cutlass. What a mess. The car had been partially repainted so on one of the rear fenders, they painted below the pinstripe. So when I peeled the pinstripe off, there is a visible paint line. Another panel had been repainted, but they painted OVER the pinstripe completely. Geez.

the owner of my lumina went CRAZY with the pin striping..

 

they had it down the side of the car, then 2 pinstripes up the center of the hood and one stripe around the lip of the spoiler..

 

It sucked taking all that crap off.. the car looked 1000X better after it was off. then i got sick of the OEM pinstripe around the bottom of my Z so i pulled it off. only think left decal wise is the rear "Chevrolet" "Z34" and the driver and passanger side "Lumina Z34" decals looks 100000x better.

 

Then i painted my mirrors body color.. looks good.
