Cornerdealy
I hit a pretty nasty pothole today, and now whenever i turn the wheel completely to the right when making a turn, I hear a rubbing type sound. Just looking at the wheel, you can't see anything wrong, so i dont think it is out of alignment or anything? Could i have busted something on that motherfucking pothole? Rob95CS
power steering pump making whining noises? I agree. With the wheel completely to either the left or the right, the power steering pump may make a whirring or groaning sound. Test it in park. Just turn your wheel all the way to one direction and see if that's the sound you've been hearing.

Cornerdealy
well, there is no sound when the car is sitting still, only when driving and only when the initial turn is made, if you kept the wheel turned and kept driving in a circle, you wouldn't hear it. My friend thinks it might be the axle boot. I plan on taking it to the shop soon anyway to get the brakes done, so i just let them take care of it
