NightStalker Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Hey y'all, I own a 1992 Cutlass Supreme SL. and have been experiencing some troubles with my car. After driving for maybe 5 minutes, The car starts smelling like rotten eggs, or something along that line. The smell will go away at random times, and re-appear just as much. I've heard that it could be the Catalytic Converter causing this trouble. So, if it is the problem, what steps should I take to fix it? Should I buy just a muffler, or go for all new exhaust piping? Slade901 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Do you smell it outside the car? If inside the car, probably the smell is coming from the evaporator inside your vehicle. There are some kit available to clean the evaporator. Quote
