JPaganel
The bottom of my left rear quarter rotted out. This is the place where the fenderwell metal meets the outer body. It looks to me like a pinhole went through the fenderwell and let water into that crease. I found a few comments about POR-15 on this board and decided to check it out. This stuff is so cool! The label is correct - there is nothing that will take it off once it has cured. In the "tips and tricks" leaflet they gave me with it I saw that you can soak fiberglass cloth in it instead of resin. After cleaning and wirebrushing the rust I pinted the area with the stuff. Then I laid about 4 or 5 layers of POR-15 and fiberglass to build up the surface. This stuff dries pretty damn hard. I just found out they also make putty and seam sealer. I'll be using the putty to fill and smooth the area over the fiberglass. I think this chunk of my car will outlive civilization...
