digitaloutsider Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 At GACGP Mod Day, me and Dave switched out my 15-year-old, 180,000 mile spark plugs with GM Delco RapidFire plugs. Holy shit... awesome performance increase. I peel out easier, the car accelerates smoother, and it starts a lot stronger. They're a bit pricy at $4.50 a plug, but well worth it for what you get. Sorry for the raving, but these are definitely something I reccommend for w-body owners. Quote
Robby1870 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 What you should really do is swap some "regular" plugs. You just notice the difference b/c they are new plugs, not because they are rapidfire. Put some regular new ones in and then you can compare Quote
runt Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Thats true. I went from origional plugs to Bosch Plat. + 4's and I noticed a difference. Then again thats not saying much b/c I had the old plugs in at least. But hell, anything to get another W-Body running stronger is a good thing! Quote
Brian P Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 I was just making sure I read that correctly. I'm gonna go unsubscribe now. Quote
4spdz34 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 they are over-rated. they are just a stock platinum plug they don't use the rapidfire design anymore, they are acctually worse for performance than the stock plugs, but the will last longer Quote
DOHCRagtopguy Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Love those Rapidfire 8s. Run them in both of our LQ-1s. Quote
SmokesGTP Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 I just replaced mine yesterday and ran some seafoam through the booster line and in the tank. Runs like new, can't wait to see my gas mileage increases Quote
