I've seen custom installs where people remove one or more of the vents for the heat/ac beside the dash to put gauges..I remember seeing one like this where a guy made a small box out of fiberglass to place inside the vent..looked pretty good in the car it was in..I personally wouldn't wanna give up vents on anything but a project vehicle.
