topless94style
I obviously have the convert. but the thing wieghs a ton. As of now, it needs new wires, new fuel filter, coolant temp sensor, tie rod end, wheel hub, and fuel pressure reg. Who knows what else could go wrong after i get the money to fix that stuff. There are the obviouse things of making more horsepower, like CAI, Exhuast, Pulley, Dogbone, Port and polish, turbo, swap in the boat anchor. There isnt a huge much less any aftermarket for the LQ1, but what are some little tricks and things that can be done to squeeze more horsepower out of these engines. I am not looking to do a rebuild until the motor goes, but i want to try and find out small things that can be done to this motor to gain those few extra hp. DOHCZ34
honestly, a good fenderwell intake does wonders combined with a well built exhaust. you are from MN maybe we could get together and possibly build you one. heres a 3.5 inch inlet filter that i bought for my FWI, K&N Part # RE-0920. nice big filter. the whole thing should kick you for a whole 60 bucks with a filter. Also give a call to exhaust pros in northfield, Guy there builds very good exhaust sytems. ask him how much for a DP back system. 2.5 inch. It's a one man shop, he makes sure you are more then satisfied.pm me if you got other questions.
topless94style
I went to exhaust pros in richfield, got my 2.5" magnaflow exhaust, spent big bucks, and im proud of how it turned out. I have been considering the fender wall intake, and im on spring break this week maybe we can meet up some time and put it together. I have the battery box, and UD pulley, just waiting to be installed. Since i have a 94, i have all the FFP parts i can buy for more hp. 4spdz34
i can sell u a shift kit or a converter or both. also run some top engine cleaner through the engine. if u would like some performance wires i also make those i can make any color u want, i normally use taylor, accel and msd, but i have found msd to have the least resistance. other than that get some ported heads and intake, u need to fix that oil leak anyway
