thanx man, I have been seriously considering buying a new car and selling the dubya cause of gas. I drive about 300miles a week for school and work, and how they been talkin' bout the gas prices goin' up OMG. Yes I hate to admit it but may be going to a 4cyl, lookin' at the RSX TypeS, Mazda Speed Protege, or the new Mazda3. I think I like the Mazda3 a lot, 25/32mpg, 160hp 5spd. This is just talkin' right now, no quick decisions or in the next month, but maybe this year. I considered gettin' a motorcycle but guess I need something year round and thought of insurance and keepin' up a bike and a car so sellin' mine and gettin' a 4cyl is prolly best. I don't think I am gettin' the stock specs on gas mileage, needle drops faster than I would like, yeah I tested it to, when it got close to E, not right on it but very close, the light came on, and when got right on it it surged like gettin' nothing to the motor. I do about 55/45 hwy/city driving everyday. Any ideas or input is appreciated

I find that odd too. What the real point is is that GM could make our engines get 25 around town and over 30 on the highway easily, but they won't spend the money.

I put on close to 2500 miles/month, so I've been considering something else too if prices skyrocket. Those 2.2 Ecotecs are kind of impressive for a 4cyl. Drove a few Aleros with them and it was much better than what I had expected.
