90TGP Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Ok, my stock wheels have are 16x8 25mm off-set with 245/50/16 tires. The aftermarket wheels I'm looking at are 17x8 with a 45mm off-set. That's a 20mm difference between them. Would there be any rubbing with the tire if it moved in 20mm [13/16", a little more then 3/4"]??? Quote
god910 Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I went to 17's, and they sit in alot more than the stockers do. Click my WWW button and look at the difference (if you can tell) I will shoot the front wheels on my cutlass, one is a 17, and one is the TGP wheel. You can deffinetly see the difference on there. Sorry I can't give exact offset numbers. Quote
RedZMonte Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 i have 17x8's on my monte. i am running a 35mm offset and no rubs. the tgp has a 25mm offset stock. so if you find one with a 30 or 35mm offset you will be fine but am almost positive the 45mm offset will rub with that wide of a tire.
