90lum31v6euro Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 heat duct tubing?? that thin shet metal stuff? in my mind, i would think that by the time the air gets up to the TB, it would have been warmed up be the ambient heat of the engine it might work if u sprayed the whole thing down with a ceramic based heat resistant spray paint i know i have a can of dupli color that resists heat up to 500 degrees but it is a doable task good luck Quote
99RegalGS Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 I would get 3" PVC before I got metal heating duct tubing. You can get a "Y" joint and it would probably flow a little better than a "T" joint would. Quote
WhiteOut Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 When he says heat duct tubing I'll bet he means that flexible stuff used for dryer vents. Quote
GrandPrix34 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 is that what you mean? http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=7047&catalogId=10101&langId=-1&storeId=10101 Would there be any gain whatsoever over a single filter system? Also, would this work too? http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=7045&catalogId=10101&langId=-1&storeId=10101 Quote
cutsup1996 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 how is there a gain with a dual filter system, especially if they are both off the same tube Quote
Guest Eurolumina92 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 thats what the question was i mean come on folow the posts Quote
cutsup1996 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 i wasn't responding to u but now I am, ok there is none Quote
mfewtrail Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 To be honest, you don't need two filters and all the bends and turns that you would have to fabricate to pipe that type of thing in would pretty much kill off any gain you would hope to see with a system like that(you're likely going to have all kinds of bends judging by the way first gen Prix's are made, I'm sure the luminas are very similar). Like my run-on sentence? Quote
