ok one day i was at homedepo and i got this ooutlandish idea

take 3 in heat duct tubing and run it off the tb down infront of the motor then place a t in the tube run two tubes off that to 2 filters in the fog light holes on my lumina

does this sound stupid or could there be a gain from this little project any and all in put wanted thanks

heat duct tubing?? that thin shet metal stuff?

in my mind, i would think that by the time the air gets up to the TB, it would have been warmed up be the ambient heat of the engine

it might work if u sprayed the whole thing down with a ceramic based heat resistant spray paint

i know i have a can of dupli color that resists heat up to 500 degrees

but it is a doable task

good luck

I would get 3" PVC before I got metal heating duct tubing. You can get a "Y" joint and it would probably flow a little better than a "T" joint would.

When he says heat duct tubing I'll bet he means that flexible stuff used for dryer vents.

how is there a gain with a dual filter system, especially if they are both off the same tube

To be honest, you don't need two filters and all the bends and turns that you would have to fabricate to pipe that type of thing in would pretty much kill off any gain you would hope to see with a system like that(you're likely going to have all kinds of bends judging by the way first gen Prix's are made, I'm sure the luminas are very similar).

Like my run-on sentence?
