EurosportZ34 Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 :dammit: I'm not going to respond to that question. Done deal: you like no-name tires and I like brand-name tires...that's it. Quote
jamcneely Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 yet you did you respond,,,weird? Quote
cutsup1996 Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 hey jamcneely, what do u think about my tires, Michellin Pilot XGT H4's, Personally I think they are badass and I love em', really good year round grip, quiet, and a TW of 400 is not bad, didn't read all the posts did u say you work at a tire shop or something, places I went to didn't have em' in stock they said they had to be ordered because most people don't care what tire they get or just pick from what the seller has in the shop, the guys puttin' em' on new I was a car guy when they saw em', anyways haven't seen ya yet and welcome to the board. rudefyet Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 I went into TireDiscounters expecting to get some cheap ass tires....Originally the car was going to get some 40,000 Kelly's on it, but they only had 3 in stock in my size...luckliy they have a guarntee that they'll be in stock...i got 80,000 mile Kelly Charger's for the same price as the cheapest ones...BWAHAHAHAHA...$280...alignment...rotation and all...also free liftime rotation after that....they still look brand spankin new...they're H rated...but hell i've never owned any higher then a T rating and that was on a 240SX You don't need to stick with brand names, you usually just get ripped off, when you talking passenger tires that way.The Brand names also make the no names, and there is no incentive for them to make a worse tire. They're just trying to pick up additional sells in a lower price bracket. The tread faces may be a little different, but the caseing, which is the most important part is the exact same, and so is the rubber density. So they are going to wear and last the same I can fully agree with that from experience....not just tire shoping but hanging around my relatives shops and just hearing what they have to say about what i should buy Quote
