drifterx
Hey, i plan on showin my 92 GP coupe during the summer. I want a little lower stance, so does anyone know where i can get some lowering springs, or even coilovers? I know that RSM has some rear lowering springs, but will that do that much good? I would like front and rear if possible? A guy i know told me to cut the springs, but i kinda want to avoid this. Thanks
cutsup1996
rsm doesn't make rear lowering springs, they tell you how to modify your stock ones, and from what we have heard you cannot tell a difference. I would suggest to do this, which I plan on this summer, FFP coilovers for the rear, and 1.5drop springs from JCWhitney. or you can wait till FFP comes out with the front coilovers too so you can go lower than 1.5, personally I think 1.5" drop will look badass and still keep good driveability. EurosportZ34
I said lower it. But how much were you thinking? I wouldn't go too far with it now! -bRad
drifterx
I want like an inch or an inch and a half lower. And i saw on the rsm website that they have rear 1 inch lowering springs for my car. And i've never seen any lowering stuff for a GP on JC Whitney. I looked for some ground effects or a body kit, and i couldn't find that either. And i'm only 15, so I don't have a lot of spare cash to spend. Bake82
Go here http://www.fastfwdperformance.com/ and take a alook at there coilovers. You can lower them as low as you(to a certain extent). Cuz an inch might not be low enough, and with the coilovers you can adjust them giving you the preferred look you want. + RSM has a bad track record. I don't think I've heard a single thing bad about the coilovers or mikael, the owner of FFP.

cutsup1996
repeat do NOT get the RSM lowering kit, I support everything they have except for that. what they tell you to do is take existing rubber in your springs, cut them and move them, to compress the spring. somebody on here got that done and said they honestly could not tell a difference, plus you want a uniform drop all the way around, so coilovers in rear and 1.5" up front and bam 1.5" all around. i have had no problems with RSM and on the contrary had excellent support and business with them but I would not buy their lowering kit
J
I talked to michael about the ffp front coilovers and he said htey are not even being worked on due to out standing bills and i think tax shit, but you might want to ask him for yourself. I really want the front coilovers bad!!! but i guess it's a no go. Later Jay

913_4se
ive seen some guys use leaf spring load helpers for rear wheel drives by mounting it cross ways on the bottom of the GP mono leaf and put the U bolts in the center and pull tight more = lower also on some 95 96 GP's they use a rubber shock on the rear strut arm they are known to lower the car about a half inch
