hazmatic Posted February 14, 2004 Author Report Posted February 14, 2004 i dunno would it work n is it worth it or no Quote
Thabulldog Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Of course it would work if you put it in right, I just don't see the point unless you take it to the track. Quote
hazmatic Posted February 14, 2004 Author Report Posted February 14, 2004 of coarse ill take it to the track but what about daily driving?? Quote
Thabulldog Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Yeah but what are you gunna use it at every stop light or somethin? Quote
hazmatic Posted February 14, 2004 Author Report Posted February 14, 2004 no if i dont have to just when i race Quote
GrandPrix34 Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 WTF is a transbrake? You mean like downshifting? im lost! :!: Quote
Thabulldog Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Its basically like putting your transmission in neutral. Except its in gear so you just release the button and you take off just like a neutral drop, its just safer for the tranny. Quote
hazmatic Posted February 14, 2004 Author Report Posted February 14, 2004 dont forget how it holds the sylnod and all the fluids so it shifts into 1st n 2nd quick and easliy Quote
Z34door Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 what a transbrake does is it puts the transmission in reverse and first gear simultaneuouly and therefore holds the car in place...... it is soleniod activated and released so when you release it grabs first gear and launches.. IT is not like doing aneutral drop bc in neutral there is no pressure on the valve body.......... with the trans brake there is pressure on the valve body and moving in the trans and there is no Shock on the parts in the tranny. mihela816 Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Still not good for a stock torque converter Quote
dkorinko Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 I think it would be a worthy investment for the track...can they be used on tgp's and how much do they cost???? Quote
god910 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone is making a T-brake for the 4T60, besides since we're FWD, just hold the brake. It'll save you about $1000. You don't need to spool any higher than you can w/ the flash of the stock converter. IF you manage to hook up a TGP w/ your T-25 lined at 15 psi. Lemme know, I wanna watch. Quote
hazmatic Posted February 17, 2004 Author Report Posted February 17, 2004 im looking to do it to my camaro but im also gonna have my camaro for a daily driver as im dithed all my other projects except the t/as Quote
