3.4 timing belt getting chewed up

I have a 91 gp 3.4 and removed the front timing cover on top and the belt is about 10% gone walking out on the cam cogs Ive got all new pullys and belt for it but yet to try to fix it

 

has anyone had this happen and what was the problem??? :(

you need to replace the tensioner pulley and tensioner actuator.

Here the part #'s:

get them from http://Http://www.gmpartsdirect.com a WHOLE LOT cheaper than a dealership (the only other place you will find them!)

idler pullies make the belt lean outwards. replace all pullies and belt while your at it you don't want to do this job more tan you have to especially when you are paying someone to do it.

i just got the parts today and got it back up and running thanks because the chev dealer wanted to give me the one for the timing chain

come to find out i had a stumble in the idle the crank was out one tooth
