adjusting timing on only one bank

I was wondering if it would be safe for the engine to adjust the timing on only say the front bank because it is much easier than getting to the back. It is much easier, right? That way I could distinguish different power gains and MPG and doing both sets would give me that but more. Will it hurt the engine and is it relatively easy?

That is a bad idea, since you will create a major difference between banks. It will cause quite a lot of vibration and drivability issues.

do you think I could do it just to feel for the power, decide on one and then adjust the other accordingly?
