i know people do this all the time, in fact my buddy did it with his new marauder and i never asked him.

How do i know when to push the NOS button on my car? I don't have a tach yet and i dont want to be spraying when my tranny shifts because i heard that's not too good for it. is this true. Can someone please explaiin this to me? Thanks Jay

i would say get a tac first then nitrous. You can always go to Autozone and get a big huge 5" tac and install that.

But actually most of the kits have a switch on the thottle body as to when it will spray. before they will spray you have to be at WOT and as long as your there it will spray.

Are you looking into a wet or dry system.

Are you looking into a wet or dry system.

i have no clue, just something to fuck around with, my buddy was only shootin about 50 on his marauder the other day and it made him break his tires loose (it was cold) so i don't know the difference really

you won't be hitting a button

you will arm the system and have a WOT Switch installed. you also want a system that operates in a window of adjustable RPM. most systems you set the RPM it kicks in, say 2000. i'd set it to go off a couple hundred rpm below your WOT shift to be not so hard on the trans

i have shot it before. get a wet kit(50 shot is more than enough) if u want to take the guess work outta it get the ZEX kit, u hook a wire up to it from your tps and i belive a tach signal to, and then u have one on switch and it does all the other shit. its not true that its bad for the trans inbetween shifts, only if u have a manual you should stop spraying inbetween shifts. how many miles on the trans anyways? i could hook u up with a fat shift kit if your worried about that tranny

you are going to putting X more HP thru the trans clutches on shifts - it is bad for a 4t60. they have a hard time living behind stock 3.4's

he doesn't have a 3.4 so he is safe and its not the shifts that kill the 4t60e, its people overheating them, by beating the piss outta it, on a few occasions people have blown diffs, but its more common to burn up the clutches.

if u want info on the ZEX kit go to summitracing.com or jegs.com, they will have it for sure. and the shift kit i was talking about is one that i custom make for the 4t60e

Definately go with a wet kit. Like stated above, it will be triggered at a certain rpm, but you will have to set that (i think). I would imagine, although i could be wrong, but you could wire it up to turn off at a certain rpm too.

I have also been considering this but was worried about using a wet kit. What is the chance of puddling in the upper plenum. I was also toying with the idea of installing the nozzle after the TB.
