I don't know about SLE. SSEi can't stand for that because theres an SSE package, and that doesnt have the L67. I think its like Super Sport Edition like the old Impalas. "lame edition" since it had very few options. i see SE - "special edition" because it often came with aluminum wheels, power locks and windows. sometimes power seats and random other options. GTP im sure is Grand Touring Package. because GTs are Grand Touring. that dates back to the 60s. they have all can have all options, but more importantly, have the power and suspension tuning to make for a hassle free, yet sporty drive over long distances. Well consider this fact: There were SE "Special Editions' So a regular SE mean's Sport Edition. And if they were Special Editions , it was called out on the side of the car. I believe that if a GP actually is a "Special Edition" it would have that labeled on the car as "Special Edition" and not SE. Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't there pretty much always been the upGraded "Special Edition" models on the GP? It was pretty much the GTP on pre-97, and everything minus the Supercharger on 97+. So in this case the SE and LE's were just ways to say that Pontiac had two base models in LE and SE, and also the upGraded GT and GTP models.
