Dannymik Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 I noticed a drop of tranny fluid the size of a nickel under my car today(red snow). I seen a drop leak from one of the tranny cooler lines coming off the radiator. A buddy replaced one of them a few yrs ago, but I didn't pay attention as he fixed it. Will I need anything special? I bought the part at a dealership under my old jobs name(discount) for I think about $30. Has anyone replaced one of these lately? Quote
JS91Z34 Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 try to find the exact source of the leak. I've replaced five sets of those due to the hoses rubbing on the a/c lines. Quote
Dannymik Posted February 2, 2004 Author Report Posted February 2, 2004 I'll have to get under my car when its not freezing outside, but I can say its leaking on the drivers side right around the frame area. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Mine leaked... slowly at first, then all of a sudden, tranny fluid started pouring out. Seems it was sweating through the rubber cooler lines at an amazing rate. Rather than replace them with the factory metal lines, I just cut off the metal tubes at the hoses and put high pressure hose and fuel injection clamps on them. Worked great! Quote
