Dan94Z34 Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 check the basics first. the car needs 3 things to run: spark, fuel, and air. first see if you have a white hot and steady spark. Also check to see what the fuel pressure is, if the spark is ok. You probably knocked somthing loose when installing the alternator. Look around the area you were working, and see if there are any disconnected plugs. Quote
mfewtrail Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 put the drive belt back on ..in all seriousness, check over everything again, you might have missed something simple. Quote
White93z34 Posted February 1, 2004 Author Report Posted February 1, 2004 I got it fixed, crankshaft sensor. a very big thanks to vegetta (I think I spelled that right), not many people are around at 11:30 at night who know the 3.4. The car is running great now. Quote
joey b Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 when I dropped in my new engine, I mistaked the CPS and the VSS cause they are the same shape with the same color wire coming off of each. Took me 2 days to figure out what was wrong. I tried everything under the sun before I realized it  Quote
