I think it will not. Anyways the converters pre-96 won't work on a 96 or newer because of the OBDII. You could try it but I can almost guarantee that something will not work out properly with it, either getting it to fit or throwing codes and not passing emissions.

So, you swapped out a 3100 for a 3.4? What year 3.4 did you use along with what year computer? If the 3.4 is pre-OBDII, any old catalytic converter will work..but if not, get a universal(carsound) cat for an OBDII application..they're cheaper than the $150 you mentioned as well.

Found you a random link..just scroll down to find the appropriate cat you need. http://www.discountconverter.com/universals/

Use a universal cat. carsound/magnaflow are the ones to get. usually looking at $150 or less installed.

I have a 92. The downpipe didn't fit exactly to the 97 engine I have but it is rather quiet. If I put a metal donut gasket in there, it would be even better, but I haven't had any problems yet. I don't know exactly what you have, maybe stating so in your sig would help
