mihela816
I have heard that there is a kit for the 3- speed auto that will allow it to handle more torque, but I ain't finding it. Anyone know where I could get one?
TGPilot
I will ask my friend this weekend who the shop was here in Colorado Springs who did the tranny in my old Sunbird Turbo. You can do some research on Google for GM th125c performance rebuild kits. Also go to the Fiero forums and ask. Many of them are putting 350+HP V-8's on the TH125C and they swear by them for handling the power... 8) Here is one I found on a quick search of Google... http://www.bulkpart.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mv+Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=MDITP&Category_Code=125rrk

mihela816
just swap in a 3 speed and have fun with crappy acceleration and gas milage!
Z34door
bad gas mileage........ you're telling me.... i have a th125c behind my soon to be turbo 3.1 and i'd never drive a 4t60 if you paid me... but the accesory parts are expensive.... i went floor shift just last fall and my indicator plate was trashed and the dealer wanted 135 bucks for a plate with the indicator... because ''nobody drives 3 speed cars anymore" i was like i like my tranny better...... i agree the 2.5 th125c must be a dog ... but the 3.1 isn't all that bad. me and my neighbor are fabbing up a lockup kit so you can lock it at full throttle.. so say bye bye to the 128 mph cutoff.
