godofthunder Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Sorry RedFox.. BUT SCREW GREESEMONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK. I bet you can imagine what happened. Recently our family friends sold the franc. to someone else that worked there. They painted the walls, hired more kids, and changed prices, added more things they do, and update their damn computer. Well...lets just say one of those crossfu*ks forgot, or didnt tighten my oil filter correctly. I didnt catch it till this week, that it may be oil. The lip under the filter was soaked. I check my oil, and I was OVER A QUART LOW! I would notice a small leak, almost everymorning. Since I have ORANGE antifreeze, and fresh oil is light brown, they appeard simmilar (on the ground and rocks that is). THats why I kept thinking it was coolant. After noticing it from the oil...it all makes sense now. I plan to write a letter to that branch, tell our old friends (who sold it), and to Greese Monkey headquar. about this. If I had waited a tad bit later, or didnt know as much about cars, they would have had a fried engine to deal with. Good thing I cought it. Emergency trip to my dads new shop (well...it was bout time anyways). Real Oil (NAPA) and tires rotated. All good now. No leaks. Well, cept the common gaskets. But all cars do. IM happy now...and feel safer. Thanks for yalls help along the way jon Quote
Redfox340 Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Sorry RedFox..BUT SCREW GREESEMONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's fine, no hurt feelings here. Every shop has their horror stories; even our store (when I not working there). Take action that you feel that is appropiate; and a letter sounds good. Best of luck, keep us posted on the situtation! - Erik Quote
godofthunder Posted January 22, 2004 Author Report Posted January 22, 2004 Though...after me and my dad did some stuff..i have hardly any rocker noise either. We put like .5 or a qt. of 20-50, and then normal stuff in. Thanks jon Quote
