Guest
This is a question for those of you who have removed your catalytic converter and replaced it with either a high flo cat / straight pipe / glass pack....what is the best way to go??? My cat is shot and i was wondering what the best way to go would be. - Drew
gp90se
You have the 3.1 or the 3.4 motor? I ran my 3.1 without a cat for 6 months, lost a little on the bottom end, gained a little in the top end and had a awful smelling exhaust. a 3.4 motor is pretty much all topend, so cutting the cat you will feel the difference 4000rpms+. I ran a catco cat on my 3.1 for the remander of that engines life, with the 3.4 im going to run no cats and dynomax straight thru mufflers. -Jeff

gp90se
Then im going to say go with a catco cat so you dont loose what little power a 3.1 has. 3.1 is a bottom end motor, not much of 1 but thats where it makes power, so ya really dont wanna loose that. -Jeff
