dykz34
I'd recommend doing the intake gaskets since you'll have to pull the plenum anyways.
topless94style
$400 cdn!!! for that stuff, man that must mean its like $3XX in american just to do the timing belt. Alot more damn money than i though, go for the intake gaskets, spark plugs, wires, thermostat, anything else you think you can get at easier. Daggar
This was the final Cost for the parts including the gasket kit GM Part #12507294 (Pulled that # out of my W-Body Parts book) That includes Upper and Lower Intake Gaskets and the Infamous Distrubitor o-Ring Gasket. SUB TOTAL: $232.84 SHIPPING: $55.41 TAX: $0.00 TOTAL WITH TAXES: $288.25 USD
CPSMonteZ34
Just to clarify, the gasket kit should be upper, lowers, and an o-ring for the plenum-to-manifold. I do not believe it's the one for the dist. plug. The prices you indicated sound about right. The shops I checked in BC and out here in Sask were over $900 to do the job. I calculated parts alone to be in the neighborhood of $450 without having to do cross-border dealing, so I'll probably go that route if I don't decide to sell the car first. Unsure whether it's been added here, but if your 02 sensor could use changing, now would be the easiest with the plenum out of the way. Oh yeah, 'Hi' y'all. I'm still alive.
