joey b
my injectors are so loud. You can hear them from inside the car at idle. Above 1500 RPMs you can't hear or at least notice them. It is not lifter tick. I put my ear close to the fuel rail and it is definately injectors. I assume the injectors to be 133K old but have been this loud for the past 15K miles since I dropped the engine. Any thoughts?
dkorinko
Theres a few cars i have heard that have a good amount of mods done to them and are still on stock injectors, and u can really hear them because of how hard they have to work to keep up with everything that has been done to the car.... 93CutlassSupreme
my car does the same thing at idle, but once you rev it up the injector noise is drowned out by the exhaust and all the other noises the engine makes. i can't hear mine from inside the car, only when the hood is up. it did when it was new on the original injectors, and it does it now on replacement injectors after cheap speedway gas destroyed the original injectors fuel injectors are basically solenoids, solenoids are loud when they open and close my mom's brand new Impala has injector noise also does the car run fine? 93CutlassSupreme
if it runs fine and is a common problem, don't worry about it then again, most injectors can't be heard inside the car...
