GrandPrix34 Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/469378/7 they are for the 96-97 DOHC only though :-( Vegeta, when are your DOHC headers gonna be made?? Lots of peeps want the 91-95 Headers so you'll be sitting on a gold mine before Milzy finishes them!! Quote
slick Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I don't know 3.4's that well, so why can't you use those? Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 IIRC, they have different port shapes.... but I cannae 'member fer sure Quote
topless94style Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I think it is different port shapes. I want some of those. Quote
dykz34 Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Those things are the worst possible design for headers. It's basically just a glorified manifold. The primaries are 2" in diameter and only 15" long. GOOD BYE LOWEND (or ANY usable RPM powerband range for that matter). I pity the fools who buy those. Quote
Vegeta Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Im not worried about those headers as any sort of competition from what I or a few others will be developing. They are cheap, thats about all I will say for them. Quote
slick Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 No matter what other people say, there better than what is being produced right now. I know Vegeta that there are a ton better designs that that, but right now its better than nothing. As for everyone else, give them credit for making some. Quote
Vegeta Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 yup, they are better than stock, but I can only hope he makes some critical changes to the current design. I have given my input, so wait and see what the final outcome is. A better design wont fit easily, and they wont be cheap. Quote
dykz34 Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 I think those would actually be half way decent if the primaries were just made with smaller piping. 1-5/8" or 1-3/4" MAX and they would be a lot better for an auto/mainly stock car. Quote
MaroonRegal Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 Anyone mind explaining to an amatuer why those are no good? I think I see why it takes away a lot of low end, but why isn't it any good in the high revs? Quote
dykz34 Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 The primaries are WAY TOO BIG. Big primaries are good for topend, but those are OVERKILL. The motor doesn't have enough output to use those big of pipes well. (At least thats what it seems like to me) Quote
slick Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 1.5" -1.75" primaries would have been a pretty good choice. I'm using a little bit smaller than 1.5" on my headers that I'm making. Quote
