grandprix104 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Well i finally got fed up with my bright yellow headlights and while inspecting them found that they origionally had a clearcoat applied to them that was now worn and detieriorating. It appeared to me that it was the clear coat that was yellowing so i decided to do some wetsanding - ive done this before but it didnt do any good. Well i sanded the outside of the lense till i had removed all traces of clear coat and the surface of the plastic. I used 800 grit followed by a 1000 grit app. Afterwerds the lights were a light frosted white on the lense. Then i applied several thin coats (6) of clear coat to the lights. They are now crystal clear i am very happy with the results - total time spent was 1.5 hours. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 If they're plastic, wipe them off with brake fluid. That'll clear them up too. Quote
