BurneroftheRice
The sorta usual story with -5 to 10 degree weather. My car wont start, it turns over fine, which i take it that the battery & alternator are fine. I did try the "check your spark" meathod and i did generate some spark. Also i have used the spray that you spray in the intake to get the motor running. It worked one night, but it hasnt worked since. I believe i have more then half a tank of gas. I have tryed giving it gas when i turn the key, i have also turned on the accessory part of the key first and hurd the fuel pump turn on. UNFORTUNATLY i tryed to heat my engine up by putting high wattage lights on it and have melted the loom on my front spark plug wires and also melted part of my cone fiter...smart me. Any ideas? Ive tryed just about everything i can do at home. My car has 155,000 miles and hasnt given me problems for the past two months so i believe it is due to act up. Maybe it hurd me talking about buying a second car...

msvestka
Check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. A weak fuel pump will cause you the most problems when starting the car cold.
