I get home today for lunch and after eating I go outside and notice my car is leaking a steady stream of coolant from near the back of the engine compartment on the passenger side. All the hoses seem fine and the water pump is also not leaking. Could this be the metal hose that runs down beneath the overflow? It seems to be coming from near there but I wouldn't think it would all of a sudden spring a leak like this. My dad said because it's under pressure it would probably just leak out very fast like this. If you guys think this is the problem how do I go about fixing this? It looks like a royal pain in the ass.

Mine did something very similar and it turned out to be the heater core. On my Lumina, there is a drain that funnels the coolant out the firewall when the core pops.

Yea i would check the heater core thats what it sounds like. If the heater core is draining, you probably need a new one.

Hmmm, is the heater core right behind or near the dash on passengers side in 95 olds cutlass?

 i think it is buried under the dash man sure its easy to replace after you take apart the dash board i'm a master at it now since i have swaped interiors about 2 times already but it sounds like your heater core craped out man oh and on my 88 its more towards the center of the car but on yours i'm sure its some were in the passenger compartment under the dash

yea in the '94 I think it's behind the dash board. i just took mine off partially yesterday to fix an electrical short.

more then likely the heater core return pipe. Take the passenger wheel off and feel for holes, its right there at the bottom of the frame rail.

I agree HC return pipe, look for rust spots along frame rail. That's what it was on mine and it just did it all of the sudden.
