TGPilot Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 I am pretty sure that the stock TGP altenator AMP rating is 105 amps. If you are getting a dimming when you step on the brakes you may want to have your alt and battery load tested first. I had this problem and I found out my alternator was dying and my battery had 2 dead cells in it... 8) Quote
Jeorge Posted November 11, 2002 Report Posted November 11, 2002 well I went to a 130 amp with out loosing somuch low RPM power like you would with a 160 amp.....I love my Alt I can Jump start any car with it....LOL but thats a different story Quote

The 89 shows the same # as 90 for an AC Delco alt. and different #'s for the other brands. The only difference I see is the alt. for the 3.1 is 105 amps. The others are 100 amps. Quote
