Door switch adjustment

Recommended Posts

I know this has been on here a bunch, but I need a quick answer on how to adjust my door switch. When I go to open he door from the outside I pull on the handle and the door will not open unless I pull really hard. So I went outside and opened the cover and took this picture. Now what do I adjust...any specific tools needed. Thanks Dan

See the threaded rod? Unclip it and turn the barrel up. Give 2 or 3 turns at a time and try it.

Ok turby...the non threaded rod controls the lock assembly. The threaded one is for the handle. Anyways I unclipped the threaded rod and adjusted the little "nut" on it upwards and the door is opening fine. I've had this aftermarket part for a little more that 2 yrs acting up on me. These door handles are as bad as our brakes  . Thanks turby!
