92turboLE Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Ok, so it seems that everything is coming in waves again and we are addressing things that have been addressed countless times before so imma mix it up a little bit and hopefully help out a bunch of people. Everyone, list off any modifications that you have done to your exterior, interior, engine, exhaust, suspension, ect. for engine mods, tell how it made a difference (looks, sound, power) and for interior mods, the same (comforts, convenience, ect.) Lets try and get some creativity rolling on the board. If you have anything unusual that you havent seen/heard of yet, POST IT. Hopefully this will help everyone with ideas on things thay can do too. - Justin Quote
john99gtp Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 well, to start off, on my 3.1, i got a drop in K&N air filter, and made the airbox look like a swiss cheese, kind of. makes a mean sound, and very little increase in power. My gas mileage went down, only because i was heavy on the accelerator at the time I also have an FFP chip. works wonders, and i can actually rev my car in park or neutral now. Thats it for engine For handling, i upgraded from 14" steelies to 16" rims off of a z34 (thanks z34_nut ). This helped alot for handling. Another thing that helped also was an STB bar from you! That STB bar, coupled with the 16" rims, make my car handle very well now. Everything else is stock Unless radio counts, where i have a rockford fosgate RFX9000 deck, and Infinity speakers at all four corners. I think im done John Quote
99RegalGS Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 I put in a K&N filter. I noticed a difference for about 2 minutes, then I couldn't tell anymore. That's all that I have done so far. Quote
conley3.1 Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 I have a K&N 9 inch cone filter. It's huge, but still smaller than the stock airbox, and it makes battery access a billion times easier. Also, it hisses. Thats about it for performance. I have an exhaust cutout, but haven't installed it yet. For interior, i'm busy putting in a new guage cluster, with tach and 115 speedo. For exterior, i've done nothing except take off the stupid wheel covers and i'm going to paint the taillight trim a chameleon paint soon Quote
