striker754 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 http://www.bmrfabrication.com/W-Body.htm BMR is one of the leading suspension manufacturers for the f-body, and with the decline of the f-body market, they are expanding product lines. Would anyone be interested in the products they have? Please let me know either by emailing me at striker754@earthlink.net or post here. Quote
Redfox340 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Ooh... something for the Monte Carlo... excellent! Eek! Sitcker shock! What do you have available for the Generation I (1988 - 1996) W-Body? - Erik Quote
erok01 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 im pretty sure the trailing arms fit. but yeah i would be interrested. Quote
Vegeta Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 GM trailing arms are what, 20% of that cost and just as effective or close? I don't think ill be waiting for more gen 1 parts from BMR, like they are going to make them anyway. Quote

Bolt_Crank Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 These bars are 32mm front(solid compared to 30mm hollow) and 21mm rear(solid) to replace the factory 30mm(hollow) and 19mm sizes and add stability to the W-Body platform. didn't FE3 come with like 34mm? or is that the Addco one? Quote
Robby1870 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 yeah, FE3 was 34mm front 14mm rear. The Addco rear bar is 7/8" Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Addco is 22mm... and last time I checked, the Addco was $20 more o.o but.... would all that fit on a first gen W? Quote
Vegeta Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 The front sway bar is 34mm at the subframe and 23mm at the control arm. The rear is um...crap. Thats gen 1. Our trailing arm is bullshit, and the lateral links are bullshit as well, bending way too easily. I have had mine bend 2 times in the GP and this parts car has the same driver side front one bent. We need something better but im not even going to consider 360 bucks as an option. If the GMPP versions are the same length as ours, then we have ourselves a cheap upgrade path for the rear suspension. Add the coil overs, KYB (or konis if you can find them) and the addco 7/8" rear sway and the rear end would be solid. Maybe a STB and welding some braces in for the hell of it. Ok, so thats what I want to do. Quote

Brian P Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 claiming a bar is better for being solid vs hollow is a WEAK statement. I might have to break out my strength of materials notes........ Quote
