Cheesy411
hey guys I was thinking My 1994 cutlass has a 3100 engine in it. is it possible If i got my hands on a supercharger from a GTP a 1995 to be exact would that supercharger fit my 3100? or just to say if i had gotten the turbo with all components out of a tgp would it work if i just used the turbo> :?:
Redfox340
A supercharger from a 1995 GTP? Um, well, Eaton superchargers didn't appear on the Grand Prix till the 1997 model year. You're probably thinking of a supercharger from a Bonneville SSEi with the S/C Series I motor if 1995. No, a straight bolt-on will not work both Series I or Series II; you'll need to fabricate a custom intake manfold for the S/C to bolt onto the engine. Then, you'll need to map out your vacuum diagrams, and then wire up a few new sensors... assuming the ECM accepts them... As for the turbocharger, that's even harder since the TGP runs a 2-Bar MAP sensor and your hybrid OBDI doesn't have the code to run such a sensor. But you could swap out the ECM / injectors to turn your SFI to an MPFI. And the exhaust manifolds will not complete match up since the MPFI and SFI have different exhaust ports... that's just for starters... But, hey... anything is possible with time and money! Have at it! - Erik
Cheesy411
thanks man i guess you know your shit I was mistaken on the year of the supercharger so im guessing it would be easier just do a whole engine swap?
93GTP
Yeah it would probably be easier to just swap in the L67 (supercharged 3.8 ) if thats what you want to do. You might want to check out http://www.l67swap.com
