WhiteOut Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 http://www.calcon.net/~easton/images/INTR442.JPG Okay, I know this car (or one a whole lot like it) was posted before on the GMF site a long time ago, but does anyone here know anything about this car, or more specifically its body kit? Dannymik Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 you mean the olds Aurora in the picture? Quote
phantomFE3 Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 you mean the olds? or the big chubby guy in the background with kneehigh socks? Quote
z34_nut Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 ... come on guys, what car is the only car in the whole picture. yes the aurora that is right in front, in the center of the picture. anyway, yeah i've seen it before, but i don't have any idea where it would be. i suggest searching? cutlassdude96 Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Its a Intrigue 442 concept the pic was taking at IMS back in 2000-01, all the cars picture there are Intrigues. The one with gold stripes I think has a 4.0 in it. Quote

The one with gold stripes I think has a 4.0 in it. I like it , but I would like it better if it were entirely white or had some sort of better scheme to it. The hood on the yellow one looks sorta similar to the hood that they were making for the pre97 GP's..although less bulky looking. Quote
slick Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 That is fucking pimp!! I sure as hell know a paint scheme for a bling prix now! Quote
WhiteOut Posted December 19, 2003 Author Report Posted December 19, 2003 The car is in fact an Intrigue, its just got the foglights from an Aurora. The cars behind it and the one in front of it (not pictured here) are both Alero's. I'll see if I can't find a pic of the Alero to post. Oh, and now that I think about it the picture I saw of this car earlier wasn't this car, or at least this specific car. The other one I saw had an orange and white paint scheme, not gold and white, and I don't think the other one had hood scoops either. The orange/white one I saw was billed as having a supercharged 3.5L DOHC, not the Aurora 4.0. Although it too was called the Intrigue 442 concept. So I guess that means there's multiple cars like this out there, the question is where are they and why don't I have that body kit? I've gotta find that wearhouse in Lansing where they keep all the cool factory Olds' (insert evil laugh here). Quote
WhiteOut Posted December 19, 2003 Author Report Posted December 19, 2003 Okay, here we go. This will make you cringe... http://www.calcon.net/~easton/images/ALERO442.JPG I'll take one of these too... http://www.calcon.net/~easton/images/ALEROCONV.JPG Nifty up close shot of Intrigue fender... http://www.calcon.net/~easton/images/442BADGE.JPG Quote
topless94style Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 The pink...ICK The convertible, i like it but the windsheild is at to steep of an angle. The 442 Very nice. Sorry never seen those cars so i cant help yea out. Quote
cutlassdude96 Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 most of these cars were concepts and I think they apear at a SEMA show one time Quote
89oldscutlass Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 The car looks cool but to me 442=cutlass supreme all others are generic in my book. Quote
ThunderBat Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 that pink striped Alero has "rice" written all over it. the convertible is pretty nice but I have to admit I don't like it as well as I do the 90-94 (not sure on the years) I just love the "roll bar" look on those ragtops. I'd like to see one with one of those tonneau covers over the top and back seats and a Z34 style trunk spoiler. now that would be cool. (hmmm, maybe my next W-body?) Quote
jamcneely Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 What difference does it make what car Olds makes the 442 the last of the real 442's died in the 60's. Quote
paulo57509 Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 I kinda like the W-30 / Hurst type paint job. Quote
SmokesGTP Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 That is fucking pimp!! I sure as hell know a paint scheme for a bling prix now! Nice Z you got there man, looks good. Quote
