PSA: NEW IMGUR Terms of Service effective 15 May 2023

Remember the Photobucket disaster several years back?

Imgur is getting ready to do the same thing next month

their new rules seem concerned primarily with pornography however this part concerns me:

So needless to say, if you have relied on Imgur to host pictures for forums you would be wise to back them up as soon as possible

But yes, it's going to be another mass exodus of forum photos missing.  In the comment section of that article there is a link for a site: http://www.diyauto.com/

I've been actively using Imgur for about 8 years now, I really don't see anything there that gives me cause for alarm where my uploaded media files are concerned.

As long as one USES their service one doesn't have anything to be concerned about.

Most of my pics are hosted from Imgur, I visit often but will back up just in case. Appreciate the heads up.

My account was deleted a few days ago, still waiting for a reply as to why.

No, I never did. I have a postimage account now that takes care of what I need.

Checked my photobucket.  It merely had 15 photos of my old '90 Lumina 3.1 Coupe & my '99 S10 Pickup.  No softporn of my ex-GFs.
