GrandPrix34
Got the car back 2days ago and besides the virbations and horrible noise, the only bad performance wise thing i noticed was that i am hitting a flat or dead spot at 3k-4K...this is at WOT it will rev fast to 3K then it feels heavy or like it struggles abit then it climbs fast past the 4K Another thing is from a complete stop just simply accelerating feels like the car is heavy as though it pauses for about 1/2 to a second and THEN it continues... All input is welcome!!! :-D

All input is welcome!!! :-D I know exactly what you are talking about. The motor at wot at 3.5k is at the lowest peak in the rpm range for the performance out of the dohc automatic. Its really noticable when i hit 4th and it goes to 3.5k.. it feels like nothing even happend. Once it gets to 4k it comes back to life and pulls. An explination to this would be the Torque converters locking in? Look at the speedometor see if it has a constant rate of acceleration. as far as the vibration and noise i have no idea.. why was your car in the shop?
