TX_LaCrosse Posted November 11, 2022 Report Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Hi my name is Greg, I'm from the DFW area and I recently acquired a mint 2005 Buick LaCrosse from my grandmother who bought it brand new from Ewing Buick-GMC in Dallas, Texas. It has the 3800 Series III motor which I'm ecstatic about. The car only had 19k miles on it when I took possession of it. It had been sitting under a carport at a living facility for a few years, needless to say it needed some attention lol. A critter had gotten under the engine cover and chewed thru the spark plug wires, front injector pigtails and chewed on some of the harness near the front injectors. Since I'm fairly mechanically inclined I repaired the harness, replaced the injector pigtails and installed a new set of plug wires along with a new battery and a fresh oil change and she fired right up. The tires were dry rotted so I replaced those along with an engine air filter, cabin filter and wiper blades. I love this car so much and I've always loved W body cars, me being primarily a GM guy. Anyways here are some photos when I first acquired it: Edited November 11, 2022 by TX LaCrosse 94 olds vert, pwmin and primergray 3 Quote

carkhz316 Posted November 12, 2022 Report Posted November 12, 2022 Nice. I wish any of my grandmas were around to so I could acquire a mint like yours. Seconded on 3800 > 3600. Quote

Seconded on 3800 > 3600. Yes I am very blessed to have acquired it. I would help her fill it with gas and check tire pressure and fluids for her when she still drove it. She knew I always liked the car and I had hoped she would pass it on to me when she decided to no longer drive. 94 olds vert 1 Quote
