96fan
Can these be direct swapped, no issues with rubbing or clearance? I have a 96 se w/gtp package and would like to do a wheel/tire upgrade. I'll keep stock for winter tires with the narrow profile and run a wider set for rest of the year. Thanks in advance. 94 olds vert
Yes TGP wheels will fit on a 1996 GTP. 96fan
55trucker
Hmmm......there are no *TGP* wheels unique to those vehicles, if you're referring to the optional 16x8 crosslace wheels those will fit all of the 1st gen W body cars. Where a GP is concerned the front fenders for all the 1st gen models is the same fender, it cuts across the top of the wheel & does not completely enclose the tire. 96fan
55trucker
The only issue where clearance would come into play is when one wants to lower the vehicle ride height. Now there can be an issue, the GTP's flares are just a bolt-on mod, they fasten to the lip of the fender, if one drops the cars height enough without going to a stiffer spring contact will happen when the car goes over a large undulation in the road
96fan
No lowering so good there. Yes the crosslace wheels, I didn't know they were an option on all other models. Good info, thanks guys. 94 olds vert
