Just bought a 94' GTP for a winter project. It's been hit on the front LH side and needs a hood/fender/bumper etc. etc.

Now the problem! Up until the seller was driving it here last week, it was running great....mid trip the front cylinder bank apparently lost fuel delivery and now it's only running on the rear three. He took it back and told me about the problem, but I bought it anyway and am hoping for a simple fix.

Any ideas or similar experience? ECM, Sensors :?:

I would say maybe check plugs, wires, ignition. Well, maybe not ignition since the coils when they fire they fire two cylinders at the same time across from eachother. Maybe fuel injectors. I would start there.

It could be the ECM grounding out the injectors. This happened to my moms 92 grand prix le 3.1. It started ran fine, and then didn't. It ended up being the ecm was grounding out the injectors causing them not to palse.

Check to see if the injectors have palse with a noid light. They are cheep at a parts store. I remember a mechanic telling me how to test the ecm, but I don't recall what he said at this time. I can maybee call him tomorrow and ask him again. Also check the resistance of the injectors with a multi-meter, they should be around 12 OHMS.

Thanks for the replies! It has great spark on all three cylinders, so it's definitely a fuel delivery issue. The computer box broke out of it's mount and is laying against the body, so I think a new/used one is in order. I'll check the injectors for pulse/resistance tonight.

I believe the front and rear bank injectors are fused seperately, so I would first check the fuses. The injectors should have +12V to them whenever the ignition switch is on, the ECM provides the ground.
