Sigurd Jarlson Posted August 31, 2019 Report Posted August 31, 2019 My 1989 Regal coupe has some suspension noise while driving coming from the passenger side front end. See the video post for what the sound is. I'm new to W-Bodies and this style of front suspension with the replaceable strut cartridges. The insulator at the spring seat looks to be in good condition and from what I could see under the strut plate, everything looked okay, but this side is clearly wonky. Does this sound seem like something a new strut cartridge would fix, or do I need to replace some of the other components? Thanks https://youtu.be/_-d_eFz__dg Quote
pitzel Posted September 1, 2019 Report Posted September 1, 2019 (edited) What are you going exactly to make the noise? I can't quite tell from the video. If you're applying weight to it, yeah pull the strut cartridge per the procedure. Its like a 5 minute job if you have the tools. Edited September 1, 2019 by pitzel Quote
Sigurd Jarlson Posted September 1, 2019 Author Report Posted September 1, 2019 I was just pushing down on the body panel to make that side go up and down. I already bought the strut tool. Thanks for the help. Quote
