I’m at a loss as to how the harness connector on the gauge cluster unplugs?

thanks in advance

I'm dealing with this on my 91 right now, that blue connector lock has two prongs on the top, spread those out and then push down on the tab and that connector lock will come off.  The plug itself is in pretty deep for the pins to connect and I just worked it back and forth a little and then used a constant steady pressure to pull it out.  As with all plugs/connectors, pull from the body and not the wires and it should come out.

Are you upgrading or is your cluster dead?

Squeeze the blue thing and watch for the barb on the other end to clear the body on the socket, then wiggle and pull.
