luckybob
Hey Everybody, I have a 1998 Grand Prix GTP 2 door. It has the performance shift button, but when I push it nothing happens. Every once in a while the performance shift light comes on without me touching the button. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is there a solenoid or some kind of wiring that could be the problem? jman093
I'm betting the wiring is broken. Pull up the shifter boot and inspect, and if that looks ok, pull up the top of the console and inspect. I bet you will find an issue. 94 olds vert and digitaloutsider
Grandprix1
The ground most likely came loose it should be in the center console someplace. 94 olds vert
94 olds vert
I had an issue with mine. The ground wire rubs on the shifter and over time it breaks. It is s really easy fix once you pull that piece of plastic to access it.
